SAT Testing for Juniors - April 10th

March 29, 2018

Dear HSHS Parent/Guardian,

On Tuesday, April 10, all junior students will take the SAT as required by the Illinois State Board of Education. To learn more about the SAT or for your student to practice at home, visit .

Juniors will need to report to HSHS by 8:20 and will then be transported to Henry United Methodist Church where they will take the test.  Juniors will be transported to the testing sight by school bus. Students with approved accommodations will remain at HSHS and take their tests in an alternative setting. Testing will take roughly four hours. Juniors will return back to HSHS around 1:15/1:30 and be dismissed upon return. A light snack will be provided, but lunch will not be served. It is very important that all Juniors are in attendance and on time on this day.

April 10 is a required attendance day for all freshmen and sophomore students. Freshmen and sophomores will be heading to Illinois State University for a group tour visit. These students will attend an admissions presentation, a student-led walking tour of campus, have lunch, and tour the ISU recreation and/or athletic facility. These students will be transported to ISU by school bus and return for dismissal at our normally scheduled time of 3:18. Lunch costs will be covered by the district and school appropriate attire is necessary.

SENIORS WILL NOT BE IN ATTENDANCE on April 10. All senior students are invited to plan their own college visit, job shadow, perform community service or just enjoy their own day off.

Students attending classes at the LaSalle-Peru Area Career Center (ACC) will not go to LP on Tuesday, April 10th.
