MARCH STUDENT OF THE MONTH: Brynn Wiedman
Brynn Wiedman, daughter of Brett and Jodi Wiedman, is the March student of the month. Brynn was selected from a group of students nominated by the faculty. The selection committee consists of several high school teachers and the principal.
Brynn, a senior at HSHS, and is an involved student in her school. Brynn has been on the High Honor Roll every year. She is involved in many school activities including National Honor Society (President), Lady Mallard Athletic Club (Vice President), Class President, Family Community Career Leaders of America (Vice President), Future Business Leaders of America (member), and Red Crush (Spirit group).
Brynn has been a member of the volleyball, cheerleading, and softball teams for four years.
Brynn’s future plans are to attend the University of Illinois and majoring in psychology
Outside of school, Brynn has volunteer at Stronghold Day Camp for several years. She has also been involved in many service projects through FBLA at the high school including Salvation Army bell ringing and Treat the Troops.
On Wednesday, March 20th 2019, at the school board meeting, Brynn will be presented with an engraved pen set from the Henry-Senachwine Education Association and a personalized plaque from the district designated her as the “Student of the Month.” In addition, she will receive a $25.00 gift certificate from Heartland Bank in Henry and a $10.00 savings bond from the Henry Dairy Queen.
The student body, faculty, and the community congratulate Brynn on receiving this honor and recognition for her accomplishments and contributions to HSHS!
